TrainAtlas is an independently made iPhone app for people who want to keep a lasting record of their rail travel. Log a trip, then watch your atlas grow along the railway rather than a straight line between stations.
A record that stays yours
TrainAtlas is designed around privacy by default. It has no account or sign-up, and your trip history stays on your iPhone. You can read the full details in the privacy policy.
Real routes, honest details
When we can resolve a trip to published rail geometry, the map follows that line. When an exact shape is not available, TrainAtlas marks the route as approximate rather than presenting an invented level of precision. Live journey information depends on the operator publishing a suitable realtime feed.
Public delay reporting
Alongside the app, we publish weekly delay reports that show where trains ran late in selected countries. They are independent measurements from public data, not official operator punctuality statistics. The methodology explains the date window, metric, thresholds and correction process used on those pages.
Corrections and contact
Rail data changes quickly, and public reporting should be transparent about its limits. If you spot an error in the app or a delay report, email support@trainatlas.app. We read every message.
