TrainAtlas analysed 383,791 terminal arrivals across 4,166 route directions in ten qualifying European country cohorts for 11-17 October 2026. These are the routes represented in our verified data, not a complete census of every European railway.

The top ten comes from the German-feed dataset, but it is not an all-DB ranking. National Express and VIAS are represented, and the two Köln-Berlin directions combine DB ICE and FlixTrain arrivals.

The four exact 25-minute routes are tied and displayed by sample count. Stuttgart-Aulendorf has an unrounded median of 24.5 minutes, displayed as 25, and ranks below the exact 25-minute routes. Opposite directions remain separate. Generic RE data does not prove an operator, so Stuttgart-Aulendorf is explicitly unverified.

Italy contributes 57,130 arrivals across 626 directions after 91 evidence-backed station mappings were added. Its weakest daily scope is 93.25%, above the unchanged 90% threshold. Its highest eligible direction, Bari Centrale to Milano Centrale, has a 12-minute median across 25 arrivals and does not reach the European top-ten cutoff of 24 minutes.

Passing a country's source-volume gate is separate from qualifying for a standalone delayed-route page. Italy, Belgium, Austria and the other cohorts are not given country pages solely because they pass source checks. UK, Spain and Norway remain outside this week's aggregate under their existing gates. No thresholds were lowered.

How to read this report

A completed week.
Sunday 11 October through Saturday 17 October 2026, using the settled, source-specific weekly reporting inputs.
Median and a 25-arrival floor.
Ranking uses the precise median arrival delay, not the mean. Every displayed direction has at least 25 tracked arrivals. Whole-minute labels use half-up rounding.
Operator attribution.
Native NX, VIA and FLX labels identify National Express, VIAS and FlixTrain; ICE services are labelled DB (ICE). Where a direction includes several supported labels, its statistic covers that combined population. Unidentified operators remain unverified. The Italian TrainStats cohort is not represented as exclusively Trenitalia or as verified Italo coverage.
Scope.
Country labels describe admitted source cohorts, not uniform national or operator coverage. The complete source and coverage gates remain unchanged.

Independent measurements from retained source data, not official operator punctuality statistics. German inputs use the piebro arrival archive; the Italian subset uses the TrainStats archive. Download the report data.
